The Creatures of the Forest Assembling

Morgane Shaban and Holly Le Var deliver The Creatures of the Forest Assembling workshop in the Documentation Space.

Within the forest, we will be thinking at three different scales – the inner (self-awareness), the other (empathy and care of others) and the outer (world ideas). From this, we will be producing abstract shapes and expressions which will be used to build our puppet creatures, along with found objects from the forest. Thought provoking questions will help us create our puppet profiles and we will start to understand the creature’s part within the forest. With our puppets made and their narratives explored, we will assemble our puppet creatures and let them perform in the shadow theatre.
