FREE twilight CPD for teachers to explore the links between the Forest and local history.

Now, more than ever, it is a matter of paramount importance that young people grow up understanding, valuing and able to respect the significance of the natural and cultural environment around them. As well as an opportunity to explore this year’s Forest of Imagination at the Assembly Rooms in Bath, the session will include the fascinating story of the building itself as well as input on how to use maps and photographs of the local area to support a local history study delivered by Michael Gorely, Historic England’s Local Heritage Education Manager.

All participating schools will also receive a resource pack from Historic England containing a set of historic maps and aerial photos of the Central Bath area.
