Creative Writing Ideas
Events of Wonder
We have collaborated with Events of Wonder who put on live book, author and illustration events across Bath, Bristol and London. The Events of Wonder team are working with the Award Winning Author David J Almond who has devised the first sentence in this story to inspire children and adults, of course! To continue the story with words, pictures, poetry, in anyway you want – there are NO rules! See the document below, please do print it out and add to it and share it with us, with Events of Wonder and with David J Almond.
Bath City Farm
Bath City Farm has unveiled their summer challenge! Celebrating 25 Years since the farm was created! Working alongside poet and writer, Jo Backhouse, the Bath City Farm crew are searching for ALL young writers to get involved and share why they enjoy the farm, the animals, the nature walks, the bees, the trees and all things natural! Bath City Farm are inviting everyone to draw a picture using words, write a poem, create a comic strip, write a story – no more than 250 words long – share a memory. We want to see them all! Bring your entry to the farm or email it to info@bathcityfarm.org.uk. There are wonderful Prizes for those pieces that are chosen! Please share these ideas with friends and family.
Making & Creating Ideas
Artist Jessica Palmer would love you to create your very own home in the #Forestcity! Jessica has been incredibly busy cutting out, sticking, using recycled materials and imaging what a Forest City would look like. We hope to bring this forest city installation to you on 10.10.20 as part of the TedXBath event. Meanwhile, Jess and the rest of us here at Forest would LOVE more contributions to her #ForestCity. If you have made something and would like to share it – please email Jess and let her know jessica.palmer@hotmail.com
