Volunteers make the Forest

Volunteers make the Forest
05 May 2016

Forest of Imagination could not go ahead with all of its many intricate layers and roots if we did not have a wide and varied team of volunteers from all over the city to help in the creation of what will become a programme of sensory installations, artworks, outdoor theatre and participatory creative activities at this four-day event.

Forest reverberates in the hearts and minds of everyone in Bath due to the exhilarating collaboration of creative minds that it brings together to create a unique four-day event, which include, international architects Grant Associates and Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios, artists and researchers in art and education 5x5x5Jessica PalmerHouse Of Fairy TalesAlison HarperEdwina Bridgeman, Anthony Head, musician Martyn Ware and located, this year, in the most celebrated and illustrious location in the heart of the city, namely Bath Abbey.

Which is why we really need volunteers to help us in creating this important and unique four-day affair. Volunteers will enjoy the unique opportunity to work alongside all of these established and respected artists, designers and award-winning architects.

The hands on help volunteers gave last year allowed them to be part of, and contribute to, an exciting, multi-disciplinary arts event in Bath.

The volunteers got to hang out with like-minded people and benefited from first-hand experience of running an arts event.

Last year the feedback we received from the volunteers was that they really liked the wide variety of jobs they were involved with.

They said: “I loved being part of an exciting, unique, participatory even and having the chance to meet all the different artists.”

We need volunteers to help set up from Tuesday 31 May to Friday 3 June and during the event from the opening night on Friday 3 June to the close of the event on Monday 6 June.

If you would like to be involved in this unique event and get the opportunity to work alongside award-winning architects, nationally respected artists, Edwina BridgemanJessica PalmerHouse Of Fairy Tales, Jono Burgess and Alison Harper amongst many other creatives, carpenters, woodworkers and designers then get in touch today with Sarah at info@forestofimagination.com.
